New Olympians recorded their ‘Live at the Mill’ EP in a derelict mill in Prague, at a price of £15 for the room and equipment for a week. Not long after recording finished an expensive Jaguar car was found crashed against the front wall of the rehearsal room in mysterious circumstances.

Despite the scuzziness of the venue, both Michael and Benjamin loved the raw sound they achieved there. There were no bells or whistles; just a live band in a small room.

New Olympians had been playing both songs for ages but they had never been recorded in a way that seemed right. In the end the best thing to do was to just strip the songs back to their bare bones and let them shine.
